“Waldeinsamkeit” is a film essay about the experience of solitude in the forest. Through image and sound, it attempts to approach the meaning of this concept, drawing on references to German philosophy and literature in which the term appears.The film takes the form of a forest path leading toward a reflection on the human being within nature, silence, openness and freedom.
